Don’t Outlive Your Retirement Savings. Annuities From AXA Equitable Can Help
When you’re working to build your retirement assets, annuities provide tax-deferred growth that can help you protect against the risk of outliving your retirement savings. Annuities can provide a means for receiving guaranteed income for life. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. Fixed annuities offer defined growth and principal and interest, free from taxes until your money is withdrawn, while variable annuities offer greater growth potential but carry more risk as well.
Annuities are long-term financial products designed for retirement purposes. In essence, annuities are contractual agreements in which payment(s) are made to an insurance company, which agrees to pay out an income or a lump sum amount at a later date. There are contract limitations and fees and charges associated with annuities, which include, but are not limited to, mortality and expense risk charges, sales and surrender charges, administrative fees, and charges for optional benefits. Withdrawals from annuities are subject to normal income tax treatment and if taken prior to age 59 ½ may be subject to an additional 10% federal income tax penalty. Withdrawals may also be subject to a contractual withdrawal charge.

New Annuities Offered By AXA Equitable
AXA Equitable is offering two new annuity products that may change the way you invest for your future:
- AXA Equitable’s Retirement Cornerstone variable annuity has two distinct accounts offering both performance potential and an opportunity for retirement income protection within a tax-deferred single platform, providing an innovative, comprehensive approach to managing your retirement income needs. The Investment Performance Account enables you to choose from a broad range of investment portfolios, while the Protection with Investment Performance account is focused on protecting your future retirement income. The Protection with Investment Performance account is part of a variable annuity and includes an optional feature which is available at an additional cost and is subject to income restrictions and age limitations. For more complete product information, please click here.
- Structured Capital Strategies™ is a variable annuity that enables you to invest for growth up to a cap while offering some protection against down market risks. The cap may limit your potential in up markets. With Structured Capital StrategiesSM, you can participate in the upside market potential of index based investments tracking domestic, global and commodities markets, while AXA Equitable will absorb up to the first 10, 20 or 30 percent of your losses, depending on your chosen investment option. While you are protected from some downside risk, if the negative return is in excess of the protection offered by this product, there is a risk of a substantial loss of your principal.
