Annuity Products From AXA Equitable: Helping You Toward Your Retirement Goals
Outliving one’s retirement income is a concern for anyone planning and saving for the future. Annuity products are a tax-deferred investment opportunity that can provide guaranteed income and help protect against the possibility of outliving retirement savings. Guarantees are based on the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company. Fixed annuity products deliver defined growth in principal and interest while a variable annuity represents the potential for greater growth but at the same time carries more risk. Both products may be helpful when planning for retirement.
Annuities are long-term financial products designed for retirement purposes. In essence, annuities are contractual agreements in which payment(s) are made to an insurance company, which agrees to pay out an income or a lump sum amount at a later date. There are contract limitations and fees and charges associated with annuities, which include, but are not limited to, mortality and expense risk charges, sales and surrender charges, administrative fees, and charges for optional benefits.

AXA Equitable is a leading provider of annuity products and offers two new annuities that may be helpful to your retirement plan:
- Retirement Cornerstone® is an innovative variable annuity that features two different accounts within a single tax-deferred annuity platform. The Investment Performance Account is focused on investment choices through a broad range of investment portfolios, while the Protection with Investment Performance Account is designed to help provide future retirement income. Retirement Cornerstone provides a wide-ranging investment universe to provide you with greater flexibility and the opportunity for increased diversification. The Protection with Investment Performance account is part of a variable annuity and includes an optional feature which is available at an additional cost and is subject to income restrictions and age limitations. - Structured Capital StrategiesSM is a variable annuity product that may help you take advantage of market appreciation while protecting against some of the risk of a down market. Index-based investment options track domestic, global and commodities markets up to a specified cap. The cap may limit your potential in up markets. And your choice of a –10, -20 or –30 Segment Buffer gives you some of the protection you are looking for to help you get back into the market. While you are protected from some downside risk, if the negative return is in excess of the protection offered by this product, there is a risk of a substantial loss of your principal.
