At times, you’ll start your day early and leave work late, but you’ll be working closely with co-workers, learning new skills and gaining experience.
You’ll also be reminded to have fun. Whether it’s French lessons or flag football, you’ll meet people who can provide on-the-job advice and support. By joining these activities, you’ll become part of our active community where you’ll make new friends and have good times.
Our summer internship and professional development programs can be your start to a great career. You’ll learn from some of the best minds in financial protection. You’ll also gain skills that can help you make wise choices about your future.

Summer Intern
Actuarial Development
Actuarial Summer Intern Program
We offer one of the most highly regarded actuarial programs in the U.S. Each summer, select students spend ten weeks in New York City to learn about the actuarial profession. During their internship, students receive a full-time work assignment, where they learn about the methods used to solve insurance business problems. In addition, they take various classes that prepare them for their assignments.
Although the program is demanding, our interns have time to get to know one another and explore New York City. Throughout their stay, we organize many social events and group outings, including softball games in Central Park, a visit to Chinatown/Little Italy and a Mets or Yankees baseball game.
Those interested in applying must have strong math skills and be a college junior in high academic standing. Generally, candidates have passed at least one actuarial exam. Students accepted into the program receive competitive salaries and free dormitory housing.

Technology Associate Program
New college graduates looking to pursue a career in Information Technology shouldn’t overlook our IT Technology Associate program. This 18-Month rotational program transforms individuals into highly skilled information technology professionals. It provides a broad understanding of IT and in-depth knowledge of our internal best practices discipline, known as Centers of Excellence (COE).
Management Rotation
Management Rotational Program
This two-year program develops future business leaders at AXA Equitable. It has three eight-month rotations in our New York City offices and a one-month rotation in our Charlotte, NC or Syracuse, NY locations. These assignments provide broad exposure to our operating areas.
Individuals in the program work on dynamic group projects, receive leadership training and have a strong support network for ongoing development. They also earn competitive salaries and have potential to be placed in management roles when their rotations end. Graduates and rising seniors who have a 3.5 GPA, demonstrated leadership capability and a business-focused major or minor should apply.
Corporate Summer Intern
Corporate Summer Internship Program
For many students, our Corporate Summer Internship Program can be the first step toward a great career. We treat our interns like employees and have them work on projects based on real business challenges. Students learn from some of our top executives and gain hands-on experience and knowledge.
Throughout the ten-week program, there are social, community services, and team-building activities interns can join to get to know each other and their colleagues. Rising juniors and seniors with a 3.2 GPA and a business-relevant major or minor are encouraged to apply. Students accepted into the program earn competitive salaries, and many are offered positions in the operating areas that sponsored them.
