Our Differences Make the Difference
“Fostering a diverse culture at AXA Equitable is central to growing our business, serving our clients, attracting and retaining talent, and achieving our strategic objective of becoming the most sought-after financial services firm for building a career."
Christopher “Kip” Condron, CEO
Employer of Choice
Talented people from all backgrounds choose to build a career at AXA Equitable. Why? Because we believe the characteristics that make people unique are valued as essential to our goals of growing the business, serving our clients and delivering long–term value to our shareholders.
Everyone wants to be recognized. Just as our business is based on building relationships and addressing the needs of our customers, we appreciate the importance of an inclusive environment. Diversity of culture, thought, style, skills and perspectives ensures that each and every person at AXA Equitable is a valued member of the team.
Charting a New Path
In 2003, the company re-focused its diversity efforts and created the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council (DIAC)—comprised of 15 individuals from a variety of business areas and locations. The council supports and advises senior management on driving business excellence through diversity and inclusion.
In 2005, the company created the Office of Diversity and Inclusion to set strategy and execute its vision for an environment that values inclusion. The office has implemented numerous initiatives to enhance awareness and foster a culture of inclusion.
Here are a few:
Senior Management Diversity and Inclusion Challenge
Each year, Kip Condron, President and CEO, challenges senior management to help build a more inclusive culture. Linking the challenge to annual performance goals reinforces management’s commitment.Employee Engagement
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) promote cross-functional collaboration on business goals, help to strengthen internal networks, and provide personal and professional development opportunities. These groups help AXA Equitable support employees and the communities we serve.
