Supplier Diversity

AXA Equitable is committed to supporting women- and minority-owned businesses. We are a proud partner with:

  • The National Minority Supplier Development Council
  • The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council and
  • The New York Region of Women President’s Educational Organization.

The company also hosts a trade fair for the New York and New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council, a not-for-profit organization linking minority-owned suppliers with purchasers in both the public and private sectors.

Supplier Diversity focuses not only on AXA Equitable’s supplier base but also on our suppliers’ workforce and supplier base.

Certification

To preserve the integrity of the Supplier Diversity Program, AXA Equitable requests verification of ownership and control through a third party certification agency.

Certification refers to a document or certificate a company holds that indicates that they have successfully fulfilled the requirements to qualify as a minority, woman, small, service disabled veteran-owned and/or, HUBZone business concern.  Recognized certification agencies are:

  • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) certification for minority businesses
  • Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certification for women businesses
  • Small Business Administration (SBA) for small, service disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone certification and “disadvantaged” status certification.

Other certification agencies (i.e. city and county agencies) will be considered and approved on a case-by-case basis.

Becoming A Supplier

Corporate Sourcing and Procurement (CSP) is responsible for AXA Equitable’s corporate-wide activities related to Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, as well as, Supplier Diversity. The team includes experienced procurement professionals dedicated to procuring goods in accordance with defined corporate policies and procedures.

CSP maintains an AXA Supplier Diversity Database, which is comprised of certified diverse businesses that have registered their interest in doing business with us.  This allows CSP to match internal needs with diverse suppliers.

Supplier Registration

If you are interested in registering your company with AXA Equitable, complete and email the Supplier Registration Form (SRF).

Email completed forms to supplier.registration@axa-equitable.com. Return the form as a word document. If the form is returned as a fax or PDF, there will be a delay in the processing of your company’s information.

Supplier Consideration and Selection

Once the SRF has been received, a Corporate Sourcing and Procurement (CSP) representative will review the information to determine if there is an immediate opportunity.

If there is an opportunity and the supplier meets the established minimum criteria, a CSP representative will reach out to the supplier.  The supplier may then be included on a bid list or added as an approved vendor.  Contracting and procurement decisions are at the discretion of the responsible procurement professional.

AXA Equitable, not only considers the cost/benefit of a supplier's offering, but also screens suppliers on the basis of economic, social and environmental criteria and practices.
