Mary Beth Farrell
Mary Beth Farrell is Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and a member of the company's Executive Management Committee. She is also Vice Chair of AXA Advisors, LLC, the company's retail distribution channel of approximately 6,000 financial professionals and more than 50 branch offices in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
In her role as Vice Chair of AXA Advisors, Ms. Farrell is responsible for all annuity and life insurance sales through the AXA Advisors retail distribution channel, which provides financial strategies, products and services to individuals and business owners.
In addition, Ms. Farrell is Chief Service Officer of the Service Delivery organization, which provides service to the sales force and over three million retail customers. Within the global AXA Group, Ms. Farrell represents AXA Equitable for Service Delivery and AXA Way (Six Sigma program). As Chief AXA Way Officer of AXA Equitable, Ms. Farrell heads the company’s Six Sigma program in the United States.
Previously, Ms. Farrell was Executive Vice President of Finance and Corporate Administrative Services. Among Ms. Farrell’s responsibilities was oversight of the company’s strategic plan, and management of various financial functions, including Corporate Sourcing and Procurement.
Before joining AXA Equitable, Ms. Farrell was Senior Vice President and Controller at GreenPoint Financial/GreenPoint Bank where she managed the SEC, regulatory and Board of Directors financial reporting, accounting and treasury operations. In 1987, Ms. Farrell joined Citicorp/Citibank where she held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President and Accounting Policy Officer, Director of Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy at Citibank FSB (California), and Director of Accounting Policy and Taxes at Citibank FSB (Illinois). Ms. Farrell began her career at KPMG Peat Marwick, where she advanced to Audit Senior Manager.
Ms. Farrell is Chair of the University of Scranton President’s Business Council.
Ms. Farrell is a CPA and graduated with honors from the University of Scranton, earning a B.S. in Accounting.
