Rino Piazzolla
Rino Piazzolla is senior executive vice president for AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company and head of the company’s Human Resources division. Mr. Piazzolla is also a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Piazzolla is responsible for developing and executing a business-aligned human resources management strategy focused on leadership development, talent management and total rewards.
Prior to joining AXA Equitable, Mr. Piazzolla was the head of Human Resources in Italy for UniCredit.
Mr. Piazzolla began his career in 1981 with S.C. Johnson Wax Italy, where from positions in Sales and Marketing he went into Human Resources. In 1989 he moved to the company’s European headquarters in London where he was responsible for Human Resources for the region.
In 1993 Mr. Piazzolla moved to Somers, NY to join Pepsico as the director of Human Resources. In 1996, he moved back to London to oversee Human Resources in Europe and Africa.
In 1997 Mr. Piazzolla joined General Electric’s Oil & Gas Division, based in Florence, Italy. In 1999 he moved back to the U.S. where he held positions as Global Human Resources Corporate Vice President for GE Plastics and GE Infrastructure.
Mr. Piazzolla is a native of Milan and studied Philosophy at Universit Statale in Milan.
