Robert ("Bucky") Wright Jr.
Bucky Wright is head of Sales and Operations for AXA Advisors, LLC, the retail distribution channel of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company. He is responsible for retail sales and management oversight for the company’s 45 branch offices and nearly 6,000 financial professionals nationwide and in Puerto Rico, as well as its Retirement Benefits Group (RBG).
Mr. Wright focuses on driving profitable revenue growth across retail distribution, with an emphasis on management development, recruiting, retention, veteran productivity and the development of new and experienced financial professionals.
Additionally, Mr. Wright is responsible for AXA Advisors’ retail and headquarters operations, communications, marketing and merchandising as well as advanced markets sales support. He is also responsible for overseeing the training and education programs for the company’s financial professionals.
Mr. Wright, who joined AXA Advisors in 2004, has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He began his career as a sales agent with MONY Life Insurance Company (then Mutual of New York) in 1976. He was promoted to sales manager in 1982, and has held a variety of field management positions throughout his career. Prior to joining AXA Advisors, he was senior vice president and chief agency officer, Retail Distribution for MONY.
Mr. Wright earned a B.S. from Wittenberg University in Ohio. He is a member of GAMA International and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA)..
