William McDermott
Bill McDermott was named Executive Vice President of AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co.'s Corporate Markets team in September 2007. At that time, he was also named a member of the company's Executive Management Committee. Building on the power, capacity, and competencies of AXA Equitable and AXA Group, a worldwide leader in financial protection and wealth management, the Corporate Markets team will develop offerings related to the company's existing investment products, guarantees, and financial planning services.
Mr. McDermott spent the past 11 years with various divisions of Fidelity Investments. He was most recently Executive Vice President of Large Corporate Market Retirement Services at Fidelity Employer Services Co. in Marlborough, MA; he was responsible for all sales, relationship management, marketing, communications and educational functions as they related to the retirement needs of Fortune 500 corporations.
From 1987 to 1996, Mr. McDermott was a Partner in Business Development at Hewitt Associates, where he was responsible for sales and business development in disciplines such as benefits outsourcing and compensation services.
Mr. McDermott began his career with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Villanova University.
