IDG'S Computerworld Selects AXA Financial To 10TH Annual List Of Best Places To Work In Technology

New York, N.Y. - AXA Financial, Inc., one of the nation’s premier financial services organizations, announced today that IDG’s Computerworld selected it as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals. This honor is part of the weekly IT newspaper’s 10th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey, which was published in the June 9 issue and online at Computerworld.com.

Since 1994, Computerworld’s annual "Best Places to Work in IT" feature has ranked the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, this year Computerworld surveyed more than 11,500 IT workers for the list, and their responses factored heavily in determining the rankings.

Bill Levine, AXA Financial’s CIO, commented, "This is a strong tribute to an extremely talented group of managers and staff whose skills, loyalty and commitment are exceptional. I believe our employees appreciate the dynamic atmosphere that exists, and that they are part of one of the largest, global companies in the world."

At AXA Financial, IT is considered a key strategic enabler of business solutions for the company and its subsidiaries, The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the U.S. and AXA Advisors. The department’s employees work on a variety of projects and have access to extensive training; participate in a highly competitive compensation program with outstanding performance rewarded; and are encouraged to contribute ideas and best practices.

"Our extensive survey of IT workers - from CIOs to help desk technicians - gave us a compelling yardstick with which to measure employers’ offerings against the work environments that technology professionals prize most," said Maryfran Johnson, editor in chief of Computerworld. "We’ve found that the best employers, no matter the industry, are able to retain the best technology people by creating focused, responsive and challenging workplaces."

Other companies that Computerworld ranked among the Best Places to Work include Discover Financial Services, Hershey Foods Corp., Harley Davidson, Inc. and MasterCard International.
