AXA Foundation Wins Award For Outstanding Communications

New York, NY- The AXA Foundation has been named a silver award winner for excellence in communications by the 2005 Wilmer Shields Rich Awards Program. Sponsored by the Council on Foundations, the awards program recognizes effective communications efforts to increase public awareness of foundation and corporate giving programs.

The AXA Foundation received the award in the public policy campaigns category for the National Scholarship Month Information Kit it developed in collaboration with Scholarship America®. (AXA Foundation is a presenting sponsor of National Scholarship Month, in partnership with Scholarship America.) The award will be presented at the 56thannual Conference of the Council on Foundations in San Diego on Monday, April 11, 2005.

Pamela Gee, Program Director, AXA Foundation, commented: "As one of the nation's largest corporate providers of scholarship support, we are proud of our leadership role in National Scholarship Month, which promotes private sector scholarship funding. It's especially gratifying that the efforts of so many talented people who helped create our information kit are being recognized with this award."

Entries to the awards program included annual or biennial reports, newsletters, special reports, public policy campaigns and websites. This year, 247 entries were submitted to the awards program.
